Can I register at the door on the day of class?
Not typically. Only if a course is full, may you show up early to the course in hopes that another student is a no-show. In that case, be prepared to pay the $25 registration fee by either cash or check. Walk-ins are accepted on a first come, first served basis so we recommend that you arrive as early as possible to get your name on the walk-in list right away.

Is there another way to register other than online?
No. At this time we do not offer any other form of registration due to our
administrative support levels. Individuals who do not have a computer may go to
their local library for online access. (See above 'Can I register at the door on the day of class?'.)

Why do you require my Drivers License Number?
Your
Drivers License number is a requirement of the State of Michigan to whom we report. You cannot be endorsed by the State of MI without providing us your Drivers License, temporary permit, or drivers education completion certificate.

Who can I contact regarding registration questions? All of the information that you need should be
answered on this page, or in the course description. If there is something that
you are still unsure of, you may email Steve Lick, Program Coordinator, at
motorcycletraining@grcc.edu. Please note however, that
this program is not staffed full-time. It is administered by a group of
people on a part-time basis as a community service to you. While your
questions are important to us, it may take awhile to respond to any inquiries.

What should I wear to class?
The minimum protective gear required for the range is a helmet (properly fitted, DOT or SNELL Rating), long sleeved
shirt/jacket, FULL
finger gloves, long sturdy pants, boots that cover the ankle (no tennis shoes),and rain gear (if necessary). If it will be hot or wet, layers of clothing seem to
work best, and even a change of clothing feels great on some days. You may also
want to bring a hat to help protect you from the sun when you're not on the
motorcycle. For the classroom portion (the first two days) no special attire is required.

notepad and a good attitude, ready to learn.
Some students also bring a lawn chair or folding stool to the range. We will provide some,
but if you have one that is comfortable, you might want to bring your own. Don't
forget, your completed pre-course assignment (optional.)

allow you to get out earlier, or give you extra time for coaching at the end of
the day. We will provide a cooler with ice and lots of ice water. We
recommend that you bring lots of snacks and drink plenty of fluid to maintain
your metabolism and keep you fresh.
