Mechanic Testing: Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device (BAIID)

Description:

The Michigan Department of State offers Michigan schools with accredited automotive programs the opportunity to administer the Michigan mechanic certification tests directly to their students.
Approved school may test students in the comfort and convenience of their own facility.

Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device (BAIID):
  • Ohms Law & Electrical Symbol Recognition - 13%
  • Starting System Diagnosis - 13%
  • Miscellaneous Circuit Diagnosis - 6%
  • General - 13%
  • Test Meter Usage - 6%
Installation / Legal questions:
  • Legal Requirements - 25%
  • General - 24%

Additional certificate through the Office of Hearing & Administrative.
Oversight is required to install BAIID devices.
