Description:
This optional class through the GRCC Public Works Academy will prepare you to take the CDL A, air breaks, & trailer Michigan licensure written and driver's exam for intrastate use. These skills are in demand in west Michigan with municipalities and public works organizations. Attendance is required for each session in order to complete the required activities. Class requires reading, written assignments, ability to lift 50 lbs and to move around and drive a truck.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be able to pass a drug test (included in class cost)
- Must not have any DUIs or traffic violations
- Must pass a US DOT physical (included in class cost)
