The Construction Workforce Development Alliance of West Michigan is offering the 2018 Construction Jump Start Scholarship for individuals between the ages of 18 - 25 to Jump Start their career in construction. This three week, full- time program will give participating students the competitive edge in acquiring a construction job in West Michigan. In fact, all students completing the program are guaranteed two job interviews with West Michigan construction companies! Construction companies are looking for talented, motivated and highly-trained young employees like you.
By Jump Starting you job in construction, you will learn:- How to read blueprints
- How to work safely
- How to operate equipment and tools
- Team work, communications, and employability skills
Whether you're interested in building a home, hotel, hospital, or high school the Jump Start program will give you the edge on beginning your construction career in West Michigan. The Jump Start scholarship will 100% fund your participation in this program.
That's right - if you receive this scholarship you get:- Free tuition
- A minimum of two job interviews after completion of the course
