Grandparent & Grandchild Day Camp

Grandchild's Age 5 - 14

Help your grandchild develop into a confident, strong and caring individual.

Each experience builds important relationships through an interactive setting with the focus on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Environmental and Vocational.

Each camp is a 4 - week session meeting every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

June 20 - Let's fly
Location: West Michigan Aviation Academy, 5363 44th Street SE, Grand Rapids

July 11 - A day at the farm
Location: 12877 84th St SE, Alto

July 18 - Let's go berry picking
Location: Fruit Ridge Farms, 9000 Fruit Ridge Ave NW, Sparta

July 25 - Let's go bowling
Location: 533 Stocking Ave. NW, Grand Rapids


Grandparents of any age from Kent, Allegan, Lake, Mason, Osceola, Mecosta, Newaygo, Montcalm, or Ionia Counties are encouraged to attend with their grandchildren.

Cost: A suggested donation of $20 is asked per pair (one grandparent and one grandchild) for the four sessions in each program. An additional $5 is asked for each additional grandchild and/or second grandparent.

Rain: Arrangements have been made for shelter if needed, so each event in these two programs will be held rain or shine.

These programs are provided with funding from the Older American's Act Title IIIE administered by the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.
