Grandparent & Grandchild Wellness Camp

Grandchild's Age 5 - 14

Help your grandchild develop into a confident, strong and caring individual.

Each experience builds important relationships through an interactive setting with the focus on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Environmental and Vocational.

Each camp is a 4 - week session meeting every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

August 1 - Deer Tracks Junction
Location: 7850 14 Mile Rd NE, Rockford
Cost is $10.50 for admission

August 8 - Blueberries and the Beach
Location: Kirk Park 9791 Lakeshore Dr., Grand Haven

August 15 - Howard Christensen Nature Center
Location: 16190 Red Pine Dr. NW, Kent City

August 22 - John Ball Zoo
Location: 1300 W Fulton St., Grand Rapids
Cost of admission is $10

Grandparents of any age from Kent, Allegan, Lake, Mason, Osceola, Mecosta, Newaygo, Montcalm, or Ionia Counties are encouraged to attend with their grandchildren.

Cost: A suggested donation of $20 is asked per pair (one grandparent and one grandchild) for the four sessions in each program. An additional $5 is asked for each additional grandchild and/or second grandparent.

Rain: Arrangements have been made for shelter if needed, so each event in these two programs will be held rain or shine.

These programs are provided with funding from the Older American's Act Title IIIE administered by the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.
