Lean Fundamentals


Lean overview is designed to expose participants to lean concepts. Students will participate in a waste walk, discussion, and simulation relating issues within their organization to lean tools and solutions.

  • Describe the core concepts of the lean philosophy
  • Recognize characteristics and benefits of using lean tools
  • Relate five key lean metrics to the core concepts and tools
  • Identify area where lean concepts and tools may be used to benefit your environment
