Description:
Work as a part-time intern with the City of Grand Rapids Water or Environmental Services Department, making $18.06/hr, while you take online courses through Bay College and Grand Rapids Community College. During the program you will be mentored by current and retired City of Grand Rapids employees and participate in cohort-style learning. Completion of this program will aid you in receiving your certification in Michigan Drinking Water or Municipal Wastewater Michigan Licensing.

Participant eligibility requirements:
- 18 years or older by August 25th, 2025
- Be a resident of the City of Grand Rapids
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Transportation to and from worksite or ability to get transportation
- Ability to obtain a valid driver's license within one year
- Ability to complete a criminal background check
