Description:

The intent of this course is to provide participants with a proficient, accurate, timely, fact-based problem solving (PDCA) capability. The workshop will cover an eight-step approach, objectives of each step and a storeyboard reporting format. The goal is to achieve awareness of what an effective problem solving process is and where the quality tools fit into that process. Some of the 'how to' of using three basic tools, flowcharting - 5 Whys - pareto charting, will be presented.

Outcomes:
  • Apply the eight step problem solving process (PDCA)
  • Practice the application of three quality tools
  • Know how to create a storyboard for guiding the process
  • Know methods for testing ideas quickly to find true solutions
