Each camp is a 4 - week session meeting every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
August 2, 2017 - A Day at the Zoo!
We will meet at John Ball Zoo at 10 a.m. We will explore the zee while on a scavenger hunt. Cost of admission is $8.

August 9, 2017 - Down on the farm!
The Critter Barn raises a variety of domestic farm animals, poultry, an idea garden, sample farm crops and a few orchard trees. Their curriculum focuses on promoting an understanding of agriculture, food sources, animal care, animal science, plus volunteer initiatives, and the farmer's role in feeding the world. There is no charge at the Critter Barn, but they gladly accept donations to keep their programs running.

August 16, 2017 - Animals and Their Habitats
We will meet at the Howard Christensen Nature Center for a 2-hour tour. We will learn about their unique ecosystem and the wildlife that surrounds it.

August 23, 2017 - A Day at the Farm!
We will spend the morning at Dairy Discovery Farms at SwissLane. We will learn all about milking cows and even have the opportunity to take care of a calf and feed it.

Grandparents of any age from Kent, Allegan, Lake, Mason, Osceola, Mecosta, Newaygo, Montcalm, or Ionia Counties are encouraged to attend with their grandchildren.
Cost: A suggested donation of $20 is asked per pair (one grandparent and one grandchild) for the four sessions in each program. An additional $5 is asked for each additional grandchild and/or second grandparent.
Rain: Arrangements have been made for shelter if needed, so each event in these two programs will be held rain or shine.
These programs are provided with funding from the Older American's Act Title IIIE administered by the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.
