Description:

Interactive classroom activities to improve perception and hazard awareness are combined with range exercises which enhance both basic skills and crash avoidance skills. You will learn to improve braking and corner finesse. It is the public version of the Military Sport Bike Rider Course. Each student must provide their own motorcycle. Sharing is not allowed. The cycle must be titled, properly registered, and display a valid license plate. Each student must provide proof of insurance and the bike must pass a T-CLOCS safety inspection.

Graduates will receive MSF national ARC completion card.

Who should take this course?
This one day course is designed for licensed, experienced riders who have a cycle endorsement to enhance their basic skills and help with personal risk assessment. Students looking to receive endorsement need to complete the Basic RiderCourse.



Bring to class: * required
Yourself, on time. Please arrive to class 15 minutes early. You will not be allowed inside the classroom if you arelate.*
Your Drivers License or Drivers Certificate*
Parental Waiver signed (only if you are under 18)*
Motorcycle*
Proof of Insurance*
Motorcycle Proof of Registration*
Helmet (properly fitted, DOT or SNELL Rating)*
Full fingered gloves*
Eye protection*
Sack lunch & bottle of water*
Pen or Pencil*
Highlighter (any color)*
Folding chair (optional)



What should I wear to class? * required
Long sleeved shirt/jacket*
Long, sturdy pants*
Boots that cover the ankle (no tennis shoes)*
Rain gear (if necessary)
Hat to protect you from the sun when not riding (optional)
Change of clothing if it is hot or wet (optional)



Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you must cancel your registration, no refunds are allowed. Before completing your registration, please be certain that you will be able to complete all course dates/times.

Can I transfer into a different course date?
No. Transfers are not allowed. If you cannot attend the course that you registered for, you will need to cancel that registration by phone at (616) 234-3400 or email workforcetraining@grcc.edu and then re-register online for another course, paying for that course as well.

Can I send another person in my place?
No, you may not send another person in your place.

Why are there no refunds or transfers?
We offer this low-cost program as a courtesy to the community. It is sponsored by a grant from the Michigan Department of State. This program is staffed on a limited, part-time basis and therefore administrative levels prevent us from allowing refunds and transfers.
